Zobrist Consulting Group, Inc. announces a migration offering for companies that are currently using Payflow Pro to the latest Paypal Software Development Kit (SDK) 4.3+. This offering is specifically designed to help IBM WebSphere Commerce 5.x customers using the old Verisign cassette upgrade to the supported version of Paypal Payflow Pro before the announced deadline of September 1, 2009.
The Zobrist Payflow Pro Migration offering will bring WebSphere Commerce 5.x customers to the Paypal supported SDK 4.3+ or HTTPS interface with minimal cost and effort. The Zobrist team has developed a strategy to help these customers focus on the immediate payment migration within their current level of WebSphere Commerce and position their site for future upgrades to WebSphere Commerce V6 and beyond.
Paypal, which acquired Verisign Payment Services in 2005, has announced that it will cease to support Payflow Pro in favor of the newer SDK version 4.3+ by September 2009. Paypal will begin upgrading its Payflow gateway service from a single-tier SSL server certificate hierarchy to a new, more secure two-tier hierarchy. All Payflow Pro integrations will need to be upgraded to this new SDK or the HTTPS interface before September 2009.
This change in service represents a challenge for customers using WebSphere Commerce V5.x as they will be faced with a payment migration as well as a commerce migration to V6. Additional requirements for PCI compliance by July 1, 2009 will further compound the payment process complexity.
Zobrist Payflow Pro Migration will address the payment upgrade challenge for WebSphere Commerce customers without disrupting the operation of their current payment process. Benefits of this offering include:

* Provide Interface to IBM Payment Manager to support WC 5.x payment process
* Allow Payment Plug-in to be re-used in migration to WC 6.x
