For the fifth consecutive year a member of the Hitachi Consulting leadership team has been named to the prestigious Top 25 Consultants list by Consulting Magazine. David Rodman, Hitachi Consulting Group Managing Vice President for Strategic Solutions, is the latest to be honored.
Hitachi Consulting is the business consulting and IT company of Hitachi Ltd. David Rodman joins this year’s list of Top 25 Consultants from other top firms, including A.T. Kearney, The Boston Consulting Group, IBM, Deloitte Consulting, KPMG, Booz & Company, Accenture and others. The award profiles strategists, technologists and management, ranking them among the most influential leaders in their industry. His inclusion follows other Hitachi Consulting winners, including Group Managing Vice President of Products, Stephen Brant; President and CEO, Phil Parr; and former President and CEO Michael Travis.
“It has been very exciting and gratifying to help build our strategic alliances practices and to experience the success that we have had. Our various practices have all experienced rapid growth and have matured into larger, well established global teams. Plus, given our strategy and direction, the journey is far from over. We will continue to grow and look for strategic acquisitions where appropriate to round out our solution offerings,” Rodman said.
Under Rodman’s leadership at Hitachi Consulting, in 2008 the strategic solutions practice, which includes Microsoft, SAP, and Oracle, experienced revenue growth of almost 20 percent. Also during 2008, the firm was named an SAP® Global Services Partner, strengthening its alliance with the enterprise software provider.
Rodman also guides the firm’s strategy with Microsoft, a vital alliance partner. It was the fastest growing practice in 2008 and recently received its fifth Microsoft Partner of the Year award.
Prior to 2008, Rodman led the firm’s Oracle practice driving growth of more than 750 percent in six years. This is now the firm’s largest practice and has been awarded four Titan awards by Oracle.
“It’s very rewarding to see David’s contributions recognized on such a high level,” said Parr, President and CEO of Hitachi Consulting. “He has been a tireless contributor to Hitachi Consulting. Without his dedication, and that of others, we would not be as successful as we are today.”
Rodman’s career spans more than 23 years helping global companies implement change for high performance and competitive advantage. He is adept at helping senior executives solve their most important business problems and exploit market opportunities by helping them become more market responsive. By doing so they can not only survive, but can take advantage of a business world where the pace of change and volatility continues to increase. Rodman’s work with Hitachi Consulting has included such clients as ProBuild Holdings and IHOP. Clients engaged with Hitachi Consulting through its strategic solutions also include Mary Kay and Oki Data.
