The conference presented six groups of internationally prominent panelists who explored such compelling issues as the global effects of the crisis on board governance; the changing role of directors, especially as relates to risk oversight; and a look at what went wrong with executive pay. Panelists also examined the impact of the current financial crisis on the all-important audit committee, likely regulatory shifts, and other changes ahead in this time of increasing government intervention in business affairs.
