L. Robert Kimball & Associates, one of America's leading providers of architecture, engineering, technology and communications consulting services, today announced the promotion of Joel V. McCamley, ENP, to the position of senior vice president and division manager for Kimball's telecommunications and technology services.
Previously vice president of projects and technical services for Kimball, McCamley has managed technology programs for nearly 20 years. He is especially skilled in emergency response technologies surrounding advanced wireless and IP-based communications systems including Next Generation 9-1-1.
Kimball provides innovative technology and communications consulting with a broad range of solutions for public safety, government agencies, utilities and private organizations. These solutions range from geographic information systems (GIS), data management, radio and wireless, government and regulatory, telecommunications and operational consulting services to complete end-to-end program management services. Kimball's work in technology consulting and implementation includes hundreds of projects for the emergency response community; the Department of Defense; National Guard; U.S. Army; U.S. Department of Transportation; the State of Texas; and work in the arenas of utilities, healthcare, and local and state government.
As a Kimball executive, McCamley has worked on the migration towards Next Generation 9-1-1 for the U.S. Department of Transportation, automatic location identification database transition for Greater Harris County (Houston) in Texas, and other mission critical consulting projects for the states of Pennsylvania, Montana, Indiana and Maine.
He earned a bachelor of science degree in management information systems from Pennsylvania State University. McCamley's background includes 14 combined years in the United States Army and PA National Guard, with a year spent overseas. He served as both a non-commissioned officer and commissioned infantry officer receiving numerous awards and decorations. McCamley is a certified Emergency Number Professional (ENP) and a member of the National Emergency Number Association's Data Technical Committee.
McCamley resides in State College, Pennsylvania.
