Baringa Partners has been named Energy Risk's ‘Consultancy of the Year'. The award caps a remarkable year for the firm which focuses on the energy, utilities and financial markets. Over the last 12 months Baringa Partners has created a new Energy Advisory Services Practice; merged its operations with another leading energy consultancy, Redpoint Energy; and established a permanent presence in continental Europe.
Commenting on the award, partner Dan Look, head of Wholesale Energy at Baringa Partners, said: "We set out to create a one-stop-shop for energy consulting and it's pleasing to receive the recognition for what we have achieved. Our energy team today comprises more than 150 energy industry experts across three areas: Energy Advisory Services, Energy Retail and Utilities, and Wholesale Energy. Today we can help clients with policy, regulation, strategy and implementation projects via one of Europe's largest teams of dedicated energy consultants."
The award also reflects Baringa's ability to leverage skills and experience in risk and regulation across both the energy and financial services sectors. "Our clients operate in increasingly interconnected markets; instability in the banking sector can have rapid implications for our wholesale energy clients and vice-versa. By bringing a cross-market perspective, we are able to help our clients develop leading risk management capabilities and manage the avalanche of regulatory demands," explains James Nicholls, Senior Manager in Baringa's Risk Management and Regulatory Strategy practice.
2011 marked an exceptional year for Baringa. More than 80 per cent of its work came from repeat business and headcount grew by 37 per cent. The consultancy recruited industry veteran Dr Jayesh Parmar to lead its newly created Energy Advisory Services practice. At the same time, the integration of The Executive Partners Group, led by Energy and Financial Services expert Maik Neubauer, has positioned the consultancy for further expansion across Europe. In addition, by merging Redpoint Energy into Energy Advisory Services, the company is creating an organisation with a depth of expertise in the European energy space that is unparalleled – combining the analytical, policy and energy market expertise of Redpoint, with the advisory and delivery experience of Baringa.
Speaking about his role and the formulation of the new practice, Jayesh Parmar said: "The professionalism of our individuals, partnership approach to engagement and comprehensive package of delivery has created a truly unique consultancy. Baringa has been at the core of key changes within the European energy market over the past 10 years, and the Energy Risk award is a wonderful recognition of our efforts to date as well as our potential for the future."
Baringa Partners believes much of its success is underpinned by its deliberate decision to make its employees the foundation of its entire business as well as its commitment to creating a positive and stimulating working environment for everyone. The Energy Risk award comes hot on the heels of Baringa retaining its title of UK's Best Place to Work for the third consecutive year. The company has ranked in the top 20 of The Great Place to Work® Institute's listings for six consecutive years.

It is very good that companies who helps other firm to solve their problems like recruiting, transfer and give a business ideas they have been appreciated by given the awards. Mandrien is also a great emerging company to give consulting service.
