KPMG'S e-Discovery Service Offering Positioned As "Visionary" In Analyst's Report

KPMG LLP, the audit, tax and advisory firm, was positioned by Gartner, Inc., in the Visionaries Quadrant of the analyst organization's recent Magic Quadrant for e-Discovery Software* report.

"We believe Gartner's positioning of KPMG in the Visionaries Quadrant underscores our long-held view that KPMG's e-Discovery services help our clients more effectively meet their needs responding to discovery requests -- whether as part of a litigation, investigation or regulatory proceeding," said Richard H. Girgenti, a KPMG principal and leader of the firm's Forensic service line. "Many organizations have come to rely on our software and experienced litigation and consulting professionals to help cut through complex reservoirs of stored data to comply with e-discovery requests."

Christopher Paskach, the FTS network leader, credited advances in KPMG's Discovery Radar® offering as central to the firm's success in the e-discovery market, providing clients with help from the identification through production phases of the Electronic-Discovery Reference Model, which was created to help develop guidelines and standards for e-discovery consumers and providers.

"We deliver Discovery Radar through a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) cloud environment, allowing clients to identify, collect and process appropriate data when working to deliver discoverable information," said Paskach. He noted that Discovery Radar includes KPMG's proprietary Global Evidence Tracking System® and technology-assisted review capability, which includes software-based relevance ranking, as well as comprehensive integrated statistical sampling functionality."

Gartner described organizations in its Visionaries Quadrant as "either on a par with or ahead of the market in terms of their product offerings. This year's Visionaries share several characteristics, the first of which is that they offer full-spectrum EDRM coverage. We also looked at their business models, in terms of their mix of corporate clients to other types, such as law firms and service providers. Finally, Visionaries show a strong commitment to continued innovation, evidenced by their investment in technical development resources."
