Kairos Consulting Worldwide Wins $1.5 Million National Nuclear Security Administration Competitive Contract

Kairos Consulting Worldwide today announced it won a $1.5 million competitive contract to integrate financial systems for the National Nuclear Security Administration. The three-year contract will result in development of a new financial system for the agency, which falls within the Department of Energy.

Kairos's successful bid is the consultancy's latest federal engagement. In 2011, Kairos was ranked among the top federal contractors by the Federal Times in the organizational, administrative and personnel studies category. Most recently, Kairos performed consulting services projected to save the federal government more than $24 million.

"The NNSA is extremely focused on ensuring that this new system is flexible, efficient and effective to meet current demand while having the capacity to adapt to emerging infrastructure needs," said Lynn Sutton, Kairos Worldwide managing principal. "What's most compelling, especially to American taxpayers, is that this effort will measurably improve performance and reduce long-term administrative costs."

Kairos is providing analytical and technical support services for development of the financial database, which encompasses management and execution of the NNSA's programs. Upon implementation, the system will immediately lower costs and increase efficiency by integrating all financial processes.

Kairos' previous federal engagements include providing highly specialized acquisition support to the Department of Energy and analyzing warehousing logistics for the U.S. Navy, ultimately resulting in the demolition of 102 unneeded facilities and the transfer of 108 warehouses. The federal government realized a total savings of $24 million based on Kairos' work executing those two contracts.
