Hitachi Consulting UK Win Coveted Awards at UK Oracle User Group Partner of the Year Awards 2011

Hitachi Consulting UK has announced that it has won silver in the ‘Managed Services (Outsourcing and Operations) Partner of the Year’ category and bronze in the ‘Middleware Partner of the Year’ category at the UK Oracle User Group (UKOUG) Partner of the Year 2011 awards ceremony in London.

The UKOUG Partner Awards recognise Oracle alliance partners for the contribution made through delivering their services to users of Oracle software and reward efficient and engaged Oracle Partners in the UK.

UK Oracle User Group (UKOUG) is an independent, not for profit membership organisation created to support Oracle stakeholders. Established over 25 years ago, UKOUG now has over 8,000 members and leverages the collective strength of the combined Oracle community to influence the future design, functionality and technology that is key to all Oracle users.

Hitachi Consulting UK’s recognition follows the company’s commitment to provide best practice and highly innovative strategies and technology roadmaps for all Oracle software, in conjunction with superior Managed Services capabilities, from hosting to 24-hour support services.

John O’Brien, Executive Vice President for Hitachi Consulting UK, commented, “These awards are presented to companies that continue to lead the way when it comes to driving business value through the use of Oracle technology. Hitachi Consulting UK’s knowledge and experience allows us to help our clients to utilise Oracle software and support their business critical implementations and internal technology roadmaps.”

Brian McCabe, Senior Vice President for the Managed Services Practice, Hitachi Consulting UK, added, “This award is especially pleasing given that we were competing with a number of niche Oracle service providers. Hitachi Consulting’s breadth and depth of know-how coupled with our global parent backing, means we can compete with such boutique organisations whilst also offering our clients a one-stop-shop for all of their IT consultancy and managed services requirements. In a competitive and recessionary marketplace, our clients are continuing to tell us of the need to consolidate their suppliers and reduce their own supplier management overheads.”
