Integrated Healthcare Strategies Joins Forces with Gooder Professional Management Services to Expand Physician Practice Consulting Services

Integrated Healthcare Strategies, a healthcare consulting and survey firm providing performance-enhancing engagement and alignment solutions, is pleased to announce the hire of Chuck Gooder of Gooder Professional Management Services (GPMS). Mr. Gooder joins the firm’s Physician Services practice as a Senior Advisor.

Mr. Gooder brings over 35 years of experience in the healthcare industry. Mr. Gooder and his firm have national experience in operational development and practice management, and work with physician practices to enhance physician integration into hospitals and healthcare systems.

The addition of Mr. Gooder and access to the GPMS consultants significantly expands the spectrum of physician practice services offered by Integrated Healthcare Strategies to its clients. Through this joining, Integrated Healthcare Strategies extends its range of physician practice solutions to include: operational reviews that increase revenue and reduce costs; practice “road maps” that help clients navigate changes in the healthcare environment through assessing market share and appropriate staffing requirements; practice compliance services; third party contracting negotiations; and practice management support including billing, data benchmarking, PQRI measures, and electronic health records (meaningful use).

An expert in his field, Mr. Gooder has presented at numerous industry events to hospital and health system executives, and has authored works published through industry outlets.

Mr. Gooder’s past work experience includes running numerous large practice groups and being a practice administrator at the University of Minnesota. Mr. Gooder received a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Iowa, where he double majored in Industrial Psychology and General Science. He later attended the University of Minnesota where he completed his post-Bachelor’s education with an emphasis in Industrial Relations.

“Through the addition of Chuck Gooder, we are pleased to now serve the healthcare industry as one of the rare management consulting firms offering such a complete set of physician practice services,” said Bob Erra, President of Integrated Healthcare Strategies. “Mr. Gooder and his GPMS consultants are unique in that they continue to be active physician practice managers to maintain the up-to-date skill sets necessary to understand and address client needs.”

Integrated Healthcare Strategies recognizes the issues of cultural and financial accountability impacting its clients where difficult employee performance and dismissal decisions are concerned. Clients now have the opportunity to partner with Integrated Healthcare Strategies operating as a third party to negotiate hospital-physician agreements and arrangements that lead to better outcomes for all parties.
