Blue Rooster to Open New York Office, Hires Kip Wagner as Vice President of Sales, North America

Blue Rooster, an interactive technology consulting firm specializing in collaborative internal and external-facing Web sites for large corporations, today announced that it will open a New York City office to accommodate its continued growth. The company also announced the hiring of William ‘Kip’ Wagner as Vice President of Sales, North America. Serving such clients as Eli Lilly, FedEx, Abbott Labs, Chevron, and the Port of Seattle, Blue Rooster leverages a deep expertise in Microsoft’s SharePoint platform and other technologies to develop its sites.

Set to open in spring 2011, Blue Rooster’s New York office will house employees dedicated to supporting the company’s expanding base of clients with East Coast operations. This is the second office location for the Seattle-based company, which has quietly grown to include 30 full-time employees and 20 contractors. Wagner is one of several strategic hires Blue Rooster plans to make in 2011.

Wagner, who will be responsible for growing Blue Rooster’s direct sales organization and driving sales growth with the acquisition of new clients and projects, most recently served as Aditi Technologies’ VP of sales for the East Coast. While at Aditi, Wagner played a lead role in starting an Enterprise Services business unit that became a $25 million practice with a portfolio of more than 25 Fortune 500/1000 clients. He also spearheaded the company’s alliance and partner management programs, culminating in Aditi being selected as a Microsoft Nationally Managed Partner and securing ‘Northeast Partner of the Year’ in 2008.

“This is an exciting period of momentum for Blue Rooster and the timing is perfect for us to both open a New York office and to bring aboard a leader of Kip Wagner’s caliber,” said Kevin Conroy, Blue Rooster founder and president. “Kip’s track record of driving both company growth and client satisfaction within our industry will be of tremendous benefit to our employees, clients and partners.”

“Blue Rooster is exceptionally well-positioned to continue its rapid growth and I am thrilled to be joining the company,” said Wagner. “Blue Rooster’s team has an unusual balance of technical prowess and creativity that enables it to address the needs of Fortune 500 organizations looking to develop groundbreaking online products that are truly collaborative.”

Wagner previously worked for a number of technology consulting firms including ADS Financial Services Solutions, Prescients, Xceed Consulting which he co-founded and ran from 1998 to 2003 and Phoenix Solutions, a Pittsburgh-based services and product start-up. His roles within these organizations involved a mix of executive management, sales, marketing, and client services.

He holds a B.A. degree from Lafayette College and several technical and process certificates from Carnegie Mellon University.
