In a move designed to provide companies in the southeastern United States with greater access to its national resources and industry talent, RSM McGladrey - one of the nation's leading accounting, tax and business consulting firms - has entered the Atlanta market by opening an office in midtown.
RSM McGladrey currently operates nationwide, with almost 8,000 employees serving clients from nearly 100 offices across the country. The expansion in Atlanta demonstrates that RSM McGladrey is building what growth companies need and want - a professional services organization with the expertise, breadth of service lines, focus and structure to serve middle market companies.

RSM McGladrey's new Atlanta office adds to the firm's growing presence in the southeast, which currently includes offices in Florida and the Carolinas. The firm already works with more than 200 Georgia-based companies. These clients will now have even greater access to RSM McGladrey's on-the-ground team and expertise.
With the continued growth of the office, RSM McGladrey expects to add several new professionals during the next six months. The office, located in the Promenade II building at 1230 Peachtree Street, N.E., will initially focus on tax, including accounting for income taxes for progressive companies. RSM McGladrey anticipates the initial tax service offerings will lead to additional tax, accounting and consulting opportunities.
"We will complement our existing tax professionals with several experienced, highly talented directors, who provide market leading expertise in a number of areas of particular importance and value to our clients," commented Stokke.
Stokke's experience includes serving as managing director in RSM McGladrey's national tax department, national service line leader for its federal specialty tax service line and the tax functional leader of the firm's Florida economic unit. Prior to joining RSM McGladrey, Stokke worked with Arthur Andersen in its Houston and Minneapolis offices for 22 years, and with Deloitte in Atlanta.
