Ernst & Young Appoints Sherif El-Kilany to Head Middle East Tax Practice

Ernst & Young Middle East has appointed Sherif El-Kilany to lead its regional Tax practice. Currently based in Egypt, he has over 25 years experience in tax services.

Sherif has advised both local and global companies and has successfully managed a number of successful tax restructurings. He has also handled negotiations with authorities in disputes relating to income tax, indirect tax, corporation tax, social insurance and sales tax.

For more than two decades, he has advised companies from a cross-section of industries that include construction, manufacturing, oil and gas and banking.”

Sherif is a Fellow of the Egyptian Society of Accountants and Auditors and the Egyptian Society of Taxation. He is Co-Chairman of the Customs and Taxation Committee of the American Chamber of Commerce. He is also a member of the Egyptian Businessmen’s Association and heads the suburban chapter of the Egyptian Society of Taxation.
