CSIT Consulting Inc. Announces Proxies Received for Majority of Outstanding Shares of Athabasca Potash Inc.

CSIT Consulting Inc. ("CSIT"), announced today that it has received legal and dissident forms of proxy (the "Dissident Proxies") representing a majority of the issued and outstanding shares of Athabasca Potash Inc. ("API"). The Dissident Proxies were filed on behalf of CSIT with Equity Transfer and Trust Company prior to 4:30 p.m. (Eastern Standard Time). CSIT and its supporters intend to vote the Dissident Proxies for the election the alternate slate of Directors named in the Proxy Circular filed by CSIT with securities regulators on August 26, 2009 at the annual and special meeting of shareholders of API (the "Meeting") scheduled to be held at the Delta Bessborough Hotel, 601 Spadina Crescent East, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 3, 2009.. The alternate slate of directors consists of Dawn Zhou, Bradley V.A. Fettis, Kenneth E. MacNeill, Robert Cross, Brian B. Goodwin, Charley X. Ye and Arnold E. Hillier.

CSIT intends to vote in favour of the other items of business that will be considered at the Meeting, including fixing the number of directors, the appointment of the auditor, the amendments to API's stock option plan and the approval of unallocated options.
