Convergys Celebrating Six Years of Growth and Success in Philippines

Who could have imagined that after hiring its first employee in the Philippines only six years ago, Convergys would be closing-in on an employee population of more than 17,000 today? That's the success story of Convergys in the Philippines -- a story of tremendous growth and great success both for its employees and its clients -- as it celebrates its sixth anniversary.

Since opening its first contact center in Manila in 2003, the global leader in relationship management has many reasons to celebrate. It has won widespread recognition across the country, most recently receiving the Outstanding Exporter and Outstanding Employer awards at the 2009 PEZA Investors' Appreciation Day, as well as the "BPO Employer of the Year" at the 2009 International ICT Awards. Marife Zamora, Convergys Vice President and Country Manager, together with her leadership team, recently celebrated the company's sixth anniversary in the Philippines by blowing out candles on six delicious birthday cakes.

"After hiring our first employee in March of 2003, Convergys' headcount in the Philippines has grown to more than 17,000 individuals.
