Quantros Establishes IT Consulting Services Business Unit

Today, Quantros announced the launch of a new business unit created to support healthcare provider demands in application development and networking. Quantros IT Consulting Services provides a cost-effective and reliable model for creating and supporting a multitude of application and infrastructure projects, reducing the pressure on healthcare IT departments. This expanded service offering leverages both local software engineering experts as well as experienced software engineers from its offshore development center in Chennai, India.

The advent of key healthcare-centric initiatives for which Quantros has in-house expertise, combined with customer demand for technical services, led the company to productize its IT Consulting Services business. Initiatives affecting this decision include the ICD 9 to ICD 10 coding mandate that has been extended to 2013. Gartner Research commented on this ruling:

"The new deadline in the final regulations for ICD-10 conversion allows a more orderly transition, but only for healthcare organizations that begin work now."1

Also the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA) is increasing demands on interoperability and integration fueled HL7 integration. Quantros IT Consulting Services has certified HL7 engineers on staff that have completed multiple integration projects.

The Quantros IT Consulting Services business unit provides services in five core areas:

* Application development
* Application maintenance
* Data migration
* Interface development and data integration
* Remote access security

These core areas align with the significant healthcare expertise and proven project delivery and custom development Quantros has garnered over the past decade. Today, Quantros web-based, enterprise-wide applications deployments are used by more than 2,000 healthcare facilities throughout the United States. Quantros in partnership with clients has developed and maintained numerous client-specific applications, supported a broad range of data migration efforts and created an array of secure SSL VPN point-to-point networking schemas for secure, bi-directional data integration via the internet. The Quantros IT Consulting Services business unit improves these offerings by providing a dedicated workforce specifically focused on client-facing development and networking projects.

According to Michael Tulloch, Director of IT Consulting Services for Quantros, "Healthcare providers are under immense pressure to provide expanded applications, support these applications and ensure silos of data are integrated for use throughout the enterprise. Quantros IT Consulting Services provides a proven, cost-effective means to address these demands."

"Quantros has been working closely with healthcare provider IT organizations for the past 10 years on a host of successful application, integration and data migration efforts," noted Tom Leahy, Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Quantros." The expertise and experience amassed during this time is being expanded to continue to meet the needs of our clients and partners and can now be leveraged on a broader scale with the establishment of the IT Consulting Services business unit."
