Aon Consulting Hires Barbara Hawes as National Pharmacy Practice Leader

Aon Consulting Worldwide, the global human capital consulting organization of Aon Corporation (NYSE: AOC), today announced that Barbara Hawes has joined the Health & Benefits practice as senior vice president and national pharmacy practice leader.

Hawes brings more than 18 years of pharmacy benefit management and pharmacy consulting experience to Aon Consulting. In her role as pharmacy practice leader, Hawes will be responsible for operational efficiency, leading the development of innovative solutions for clients, and developing and recruiting talent. "Prescription drugs are an important and significant cost to employers, and coupled with the complexity of the pharmaceutical market, employers need guidance in such areas as vendor evaluation, competitive pricing, and plan design and strategy," said John Zern, Aon Consulting's Health & Benefits U.S. Practice Director. "I'm confident Barbara's extensive pharmaceutical background, consulting experience and leadership will take our pharmacy practice to the next level, helping clients reduce spend and improve employee health and productivity."
