Teresa Briggs, Managing Partner of Deloitte Silicon Valley, Joins the Board of Directors of The Tech Museum of Innovation

Teresa Briggs, managing partner of Deloitte's Silicon Valley practice, was elected to The Tech Museum of Innovation Board of Directors, effective today. The Tech Museum is a nonprofit hands-on technology and science museum in San Jose, California.

During her 26 years at Deloitte, Briggs has held both national and local roles. She is currently responsible for leading Deloitte's Silicon Valley practice, which serves technology, clean tech, and life sciences clients across all of Deloitte's competencies including consulting, audit, tax and financial advisory.

"Teresa brings a wealth of leadership experience to The Tech Museum board," said Peter Friess, museum president. "We fully expect to draw on her experience and vision as we move The Tech Museum forward in new and exciting ways. On behalf of the entire museum, I welcome her to the team."

Briggs is also on the Board of Trustees of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (Silicon Valley chapter), and is a member of the 1stACT Catalyst Team, the Stanford Technology Ventures Program Board of Advisors and the University of Arizona's Eller College of Management Board of Advisors.

As part of its commitment to invest $50 million in skills based pro bono professional services, Deloitte provided professional services to The Tech Museum to help develop a new exhibit called "Choices," which will feature innovative renewable energy technologies that are alternatives to today's fossil-based fuels. The cross-functional Deloitte team was composed of consultants who specialize in clean tech, alternative energy and sustainability, and assisted The Tech Museum in the conceptualization of the exhibit, recommended energy resources to be featured and connected The Tech Museum with leading technology innovators to generate ongoing support of the exhibit.
