GEHA Selects ELDORADO's Innovative Javelina Benefits & Claims Platform

Eldorado Computing, Inc. (ELDORADO), a leading provider of health benefit and claims management platforms, today announced that GEHA (Government Employees Health Association, Inc.), the second-largest national health insurance plan serving federal employees, retirees and their families, has selected ELDORADO as its trusted business partner and is implementing JavelinaTM, ELDORADO's next-generation, browser-based healthcare claims and benefits platform. GEHA identified ELDORADO as the best overall solution partner with ?the experience, vision, flexibility, and products that support GEHA?s ability to grow and its commitment to providing high-quality medical insurance, fair prices and excellent customer service, stated Doug Aldridge, Business Analyst at GEHA.

The Javelina solution sets itself apart from legacy and other proprietary systems as the industry's most innovative, flexible solution with the lowest total cost of ownership. Javelina boasts browser-based interfaces, rich and user-configurable functionality, a service-oriented architecture (SOA), and integrates open source components?including relational database management system (RDBMS) and other middleware, eliminating costly licensing fees.

Selecting a system is a long and challenging process and vendors are highly competitive, offering products that appeal to various groups within GEHA. Our team was charged with aggregating our user demands and at the same time, evaluating technologies and assessing companies that will be able to support our growing membership fifteen years from now, continued Aldridge.

?ELDORADO presented the best balance of not only product and technology, but also company and people to meet our needs. We are confident they can move us into their system and into the future.?

GEHA President, Richard Miles, stated, "ELDORADO's Javelina product will bring us to the leading edge of technology and will provide a flexible platform we can use for many years. We are excited about the potential advantages this software brings to our organization. Not only was the software impressive, but the people at ELDORADO were great to work with as well."

Tom Castleberry, Vice Chairman of ELDORADO, stated, ?Moving to Javelina will be a tremendous, transformative leap forward for GEHA. We are excited to work with them and look forward to celebrating their successes with the Javelina solution.
