Exervio Management Consulting Supports Classroom Central

A group of 7 employees from Exervio Management Consulting volunteered their time to serve our community’s teachers and students for an afternoon at Classroom Central. Classroom Central provides free school supplies to teachers who work in low-income schools in the Charlotte region. The team from Exervio participated in a free teacher shopping event by assisting the organization with teacher shopping check-out, restocking shelves with school supplies, and helping teachers carry those supplies to their cars.

“Karen Calder, Classroom Central’s Executive Director continues to educate our community on the challenges students and teachers face” says Jeff Friedman, Director of IT Services. At schools with a large population of students receiving free or reduced lunches, teachers are stretched to allocate hundreds of dollars or more of their own limited resources. Classroom Central is one of a very small number of organizations across the country supplying educational necessities free of charge to teachers and students. Whether through financial, product, or volunteer contributions, it is our obligation to provide the necessary tools for teachers and students in our communities to be as successful as possible.”

Jeff Friedman brought his involvement and enthusiasm as a Classroom Central Board Member to Exervio upon joining the firm. Exervio Management Consulting plans to continue its involvement with this standout philanthropic organization. Classroom Central’s mission is to equip Charlotte area students to effectively learn by collecting and distributing free school supplies. In doing so, the organization has served more than 86,000 students and has distributed more than $14 million in free school supplies to students in Charlotte-Mecklenburg and surrounding school districts.
