FTI Consulting Appoints Lord Malloch-Brown as Chairman, Global Affairs

FTI Consulting, Inc., the global business advisory firm dedicated to helping organisations protect and enhance their enterprise value, has appointed Lord Malloch-Brown as Chairman, Global Affairs. Based in London, Lord Malloch-Brown will focus on advising clients on the risks and opportunities associated with international business development, particularly in emerging markets. The appointment follows a series of steps taken by FTI Consulting over the past two years to expand its reach and presence in multiple regions of high importance to its clients and business, including recent acquisitions in Asia and Latin America as well as the expansion of existing practice areas and offices across Europe.

Lord Malloch-Brown is a former Minister of State in the Foreign and Commonwealth Office of the British government with responsibility for Africa, Asia and the United Nations. He has also served as United Nations Deputy Secretary-General, Administrator of the United Nations Development Programme, Vice President of External Affairs at the World Bank and was the founder of the Economist Development Report.

In recognition of his long service in public life and on the international stage, Lord Malloch-Brown was offered a life peerage in July 2007 and he remains in the UK's House of Lords.

Jack Dunn, President and Chief Executive Officer of FTI Consulting, said, "The corporations which have survived the worst of the global economic downturn now recognise the potential for high growth opportunities in emerging markets. Mark Malloch-Brown is one of the leading global thought leaders in international business development and risk, and will be able to provide unique insight and advice to companies looking to navigate these key growth markets. I am delighted that Mark will be joining our firm to head our global affairs offering."

Lord Malloch-Brown said, "The global economy has reached a tipping point, with Western companies under great pressure to shift their footprint towards emerging markets. FTI Consulting has built a hugely successful business around advising corporations on critical business issues. I look forward to adding my experience to the company and its client relationships to help them reach their global growth objectives."
