Deloitte Wins Multiple Oracle North America Titan Awards for the Fourth Consecutive Year

Deloitte announced today that it received top honors in three categories of the Oracle PartnerNetwork, North America Titan 2009 Partner Awards. This is the fourth consecutive year that Deloitte has won multiple awards, and is the only nominee to receive three awards in this year's competition. This gives Deloitte 11 Titan Awards in the past four years spanning enterprise transformation, industry & functional insight, business intelligence and technical capabilities.

Deloitte received the awards for SOA and Integration Solution, BI and Data Warehousing Solution, and E2.0 Solution. These awards recognized Deloitte for its strong understanding of customer business requirements and applying deep technical know-how in developing effective services based on Oracle's core and emerging applications and technology products. Deloitte also received honorable mentions in five categories: Global SI Applications Momentum, Technology Momentum, CRM Solution, Manufacturing Industry Solution, and Security and Identity Management Solution.

"Deloitte is well-known for its breadth of capability, which spans multiple industries, disciplines and technologies," said Nidal Haddad, Principal, Deloitte Consulting LLP, and Global Oracle alliance leader. "These awards recognize our ability not only to draw upon our expansive industry and business experience but also to delve deeply into the technical aspects of Oracle's technology stack to devise solutions that help companies in their efforts to resolve mission critical business issues."

"Deloitte has extensive service capabilities across Oracle's full line of products," said Tyler Prince, group vice president, North America Applications Channel Sales. "It delivers value to our joint customers by understanding their requirements and working side-by-side with Oracle to convert services, technology and applications into solutions designed to help these customers in their efforts to address their real-world business challenges."

The following are brief descriptions of Deloitte's winning submissions:

SOA and Integration Solution
This provider of software services found that its existing transaction system was unable to support data growth and provide adequate master data management functionality. Among the business requirements, the company needed a solution that could support data growth using a separate physical location, and it sought to implement a single source of truth and system of record for product (SKU) data across the enterprise. The solution, which implemented SOA and employed a number of Oracle technologies, provided the scalable foundation required to create and maintain improved product master data without impacting the current architecture. As a result, activities related to creating and managing product and SKU information now take approximately 60% less time than prior to go-live.

BI and Data Warehousing Solution
As part of an overall business transformation initiative, this government agency sought improved ways to plan and manage its business. The solution drew upon the capabilities of several Oracle technologies to enable the agency to consolidate financial and operations data into a single central data warehouse; replace siloed reports with enterprise-wide insights; employ 48 dashboards to support all horizontal business processes; provide users with ad hoc reporting capability; and deliver a centralized financial budgeting process with increased expense visibility. These accomplishments support the agency's overall business objectives of identifying and realizing operating efficiencies and savings, and becoming more customer-oriented and market-driven.

E2.0 Solution
This multi-purpose portal solution for a not-for-profit healthcare organization in Canada enabled a variety of users, including medical professionals and the general public, to collect, connect, collaborate and implement based on shared or transferred information. The solution provided the organization with the tools to: create searchable public repositories of information that are easily accessible as well as allow users to repurpose information (Collect); link people to each other around the information to foster the creation of new ideas for disease control (Connect); create collaborative environments to share and create new knowledge (Collaborate); and support automated workflow processes to publish new information to the public and enable people to implement based on that information (Transfer). The solution also provided a way to easily maintain and update information repositories, which is critical to ensuring their relevance.
