She is currently working three other jobs, including working as a special education teacher paraprofessional for a school district, where she is best noted for her special attention to her students. At night, she works as a server in a small country restaurant. Mrs. Cook is also a grounds keeper at Noxon Rapids Dam, where she weeds, mows the lawn, and trims the trees.
Mrs. Cook attributes her success to her personal relationship with Christ. She is part of the Women's Ministries at Cabinet Mountain Bible Church and does volunteer work with Angel Tree which provides Christmas and summer camps to children whose parents are in prison.
