Houston Area Consultant Named For Lifetime Achievement

Milton "Mickey" Rosenau's professional management consulting career has been of such magnitude that his clients repeatedly hired him back—one working with him the majority of his career. "Mickey's books and articles on product development and project management are numerous and have set industry standards for nearly a quarter of a century," said Dr. Drumm McNaughton, CMC®, Chairman and CEO of the Institute of Management Consultants USA (IMC USA). So, for his outstanding service to the profession of management consulting, IMC USA is honoring Rosenau with its Lifetime Achievement Award, only the sixth such award awarded in the 40 years since IMC was founded.

Rosenau began his prestigious career in Southern California in 1978, moving to the Houston, Texas area in the mid 1990's where he retired in 2004. With an Engineering Physics degree from Cornell University and management programs at MIT, Cornell and UCLA, Rosenau established Rosenau Consulting Company serving clients that consisted primarily of those who produced highly complex instruments for medical diagnostics or scientific use. He was one of the first non-academic members to join the Product Development & Management Association (PDMA) and was published extensively in his areas of expertise for nearly a quarter of a century. John Wiley & Sons publishing published four editions of his seminal book, Successful Project Management.

"I am fortunate to have been able to consult privately and for business to many organizations and what I have been able to do has been greatly enhanced by what I have learned from IMC and my colleagues in the profession" Rosenau will be recognized during a formal ceremony at Confab, IMC's 32nd annual conference to be held in Reno, Nevada, October 24-27; the largest conference in the United States for consultants and by consultants.

IMC USA was founded in 1968 with the primary purpose of assuring the public that is members possess ethical standards, professional competence and independence required to practice as management consultants. IMC USA is the sole certifying body for the United States, authorized to award the Certified Management Consultant (CMC®) designation.
