Ernst & Young has signed a letter of intent to merge with the Greater Moncton, New Brunswick, office of Leblanc Nadeau Bujold, one of the largest independent professional services firms in the province.
Mathew Harris, Ernst & Young's Atlantic Managing Partner, sees the transaction as a positive development for New Brunswick's business community.
"Moncton is the fastest-growing community in Atlantic Canada, and it's important for Ernst & Young to be there," he says. "Bringing Leblanc Nadeau Bujold's great team to the Ernst & Young family means we can better help the region's businesses achieve their goals in a recovering economy."
Leblanc Nadeau Bujold manages a comprehensive network of accounting professionals and offers a wide range of services, including assurance, taxation and business advisory, and has been in operation for nearly 50 years.

The transaction is expected to close September 30. Leblanc Nadeau Bujold will maintain its office in Moncton, working closely with Ernst & Young's Saint John office to better serve Atlantic Canada. At the close of the deal, the firm will be known as Ernst & Young LLP.
