Capgemini Consulting’s Omar Chane Honored in Consulting Magazine’s 10th Annual “Top 25 Consultants”

Capgemini Consulting, the strategy and transformation consulting brand of Capgemini Group, today announced that Omar Chane, vice president of Capgemini Consulting’s Life Sciences practice, has been selected by Consulting magazine as one of the most dynamic and influential leaders in the consulting industry in its annual listing of the “Top 25 Consultants” of 2011.

Chane was recognized by the magazine for excellence in client service. With more than 15 years of management consulting experience, Chane has consulted with many of the industry’s leading global pharmaceutical companies across Research & Development and Sales & Marketing. As one of the company’s leaders, he has headed some of Capgemini Consulting’s most visible, complex and strategic accounts, establishing long-standing partnerships with clients to transform their business models and bring innovative strategies to address the evolving market challenges and opportunities. Chane was also recognized for the large role he has played in building Capgemini Consulting’s Closed Loop Marketing capabilities, and successfully delivering several transformational initiatives across leading pharmaceutical companies to help them realize the benefit of becoming customer-centric organizations.

“Omar’s recognition as one of the top consultants in North America is a well-deserved honor,” said Ken Toombs, chief executive officer, Capgemini Consulting, North America. “Omar consistently makes a meaningful impact on our clients’ businesses, going far beyond expectations to deliver true value and guidance; his unwavering dedication to our client’s satisfaction exemplifies the core values of Capgemini Consulting.”

In addition to his client responsibilities, Chane manages Capgemini's Strategic Research Group (SRG), a unique market research arm of Capgemini Consulting that brings together a network of global research centers to better support client consulting needs. Prior to joining Capgemini Consulting, Chane held a variety of positions in the healthcare industry including Ernst & Young. He holds a Bachelor’s degree and a Master’s degree in biomedical engineering, and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Case Western Reserve University.

“We were incredibly impressed with the 400 or so nominations we received this year. Each year, the Top 25 nominations get stronger, and this year we heard from a lot more clients than we normally do, which is fantastic,” said Joe Kornik, editor-in-chief, Consulting. “It looks like we’re finally turning the corner and companies are tired of trying to cost cut their way to success. Instead they are investing again, and they are turning to consultants to help them with a variety of business functions across all sectors.”
