Hayes Management Consulting Announces New Executive Leader of Strategic & Advisory Services

Hayes Management Consulting, a leading healthcare consulting firm, is pleased to announce that consultant Robert Drewniak will now lead Hayes’ Strategic & Advisory Services division.

“Senior-level clients tell me that they see Rob as a diplomatic leader and a mentor to them,” says Pete Butler, Hayes’ president. “He helps them explore areas they haven’t thought of yet, and navigates political issues with ease.”

Before his promotion, Drewniak served as one of Hayes’ senior strategists, guiding clients through operational and IT strategic planning, serving as interim CIO, and assisting clients with myriad strategic initiatives. Prior to Hayes, Drewniak worked as a senior consultant at Accenture and Pricewaterhouse Coopers (PwC). He also served as director and vice president in two western region hospitals. He holds a Master of Science Degree in Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration.

His recent work includes serving as interim CIO for a healthcare integrated delivery network (IDN) that included a physicians’ practice plan, a health plan practice and an acute care hospital. Drewniak developed IT governance structure, IT organizational structure, managed the daily IT operations including implementations, support and procedures and worked extensively to merge the IDN with the university medical center operations.

Drewniak also recently led the IT strategic planning process for an academic healthcare organization, identifying challenges with IT governance, IT structure, system implementations, support and procedures. The findings and recommendation set a process in place that would restructure the IT organization, facilitate an enhanced budgeting process and improve clinical and financial operations through better IT operations.

Drewniak has also been responsible for managing large-scale rollouts of EpicCare Ambulatory EMR and other enterprise-wide healthcare IT systems.

“The changes in the healthcare industry today are leaving executives with more questions than answers,” says Drewniak. “My team thrives on finding the appropriate answers for each of our clients.”
