The Kiran Consortium Names Joseph J. DeSilva Partner and Healthcare Interim Management and Executive Management Consultant

The Kiran Consortium Group, LLC, a privately-owned, global Information Technology advisory and professional services firm, today announced that it has named Joseph J. DeSilva, MBA, FACHE, as a Partner in charge of Healthcare Interim Management and Executive Management Consulting. In his new role, DeSilva will be primarily responsible for partnering with for-profit and non-profit healthcare entities to create short and long-term solutions that both improve patient care and increase the fiscal viability of each individual organization.

“A healthcare industry veteran, Joseph DeSilva has a proven track record of reinventing entities to become point of service organizations in the current environment, operating with a budget surplus. Through collaborative client partnerships, Joseph will address individual organization’s needs while providing tools to ensure a seamless transition to new long-term operating procedures,” said Lucy Mancini-Newell, managing partner, The Kiran Consortium Group. “We are delighted to add Joseph to our team and look forward to his contributions as he leverages his comprehensive background to provide the strategic insight our clients need to thrive in the healthcare industry.”

Reliance of hospitals on strengthening HCAHPS (Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems) scores to gain both government and philanthropic operating dollars requires expert advisement by leaders in industry strategy. Going forward, patients will also rely on these publicly reported scores to determine which hospitals offer the best in traditional and emergency care.

“As smaller hospitals face challenges to remain sole entities, they are searching for the addition of unique skill sets and access to capital. Because of this, a great need has arisen for an operational overhaul to ensure high-quality patient care, while maintaining a fiscally sound operating budget,” stated Willie Williams III, PMP, co-founder and managing partner, The Kiran Consortium Group, LLC. “Our clients will greatly benefit from Joseph’s wealth of knowledge concerning the long-term effects of quality patient care and genuine concern in a client’s long-term budgetary goals, resulting ultimately in greater operational efficiency, higher HCAHPS scores and an increase in philanthropy for the facilities.”

With more than 35 years of experience, DeSilva previously has served in healthcare industry roles ranging from Business Development, to President, and Chief Executive Officer. Joseph DeSilva is a fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives, a member of the American Hospital Association and has completed a certificate in Competition and Strategy from the Harvard Business School.

Excellent post Admin. Now I have to really think about what I say here ;)
I think it's important for people to also think about how powerful an effect comments can have, especially for new bloggers. A comment is both a validation that someone has read the content and connected with it - that can inspire someone to continue on interimmanager, or if too negative, make others consider shutting down.
At any rate, I'll give this more thought but I'm bookmarking this post to share with Friends. Thanks again.
