Women in Consulting (WIC), a collaborative community of professional consultants and small business owners, will present online and in-person programs covering a variety of business best practices, including marketing techniques such as SEO and social media.
The second-quarter webinars, in-person meetings, and workshop will cover topics such as search engine optimization, Twitter, starting a nonprofit, storytelling for business, new client "onboarding," "guerrilla publicity," and social media. WIC's in-person meetings take place in five locations throughout the Bay Area.
The WIC events are known for providing actionable tips and techniques that drive real business results. For example, WIC member Angel Rampy, founder of Success through Learning, credits a WIC workshop with dramatically increasing her income. "I went to WIC's workshop on value-based pricing last year and, as a result, shifted my pricing approach for my corporate clients. I now charge by the project instead of by the hour. In less than three months, I increased my income thirty percent," she said.
