Hitachi Consulting, a leading provider of IT consulting and management consulting solutions and services, today announced it is expanding its solutions delivery alliance with Nexaweb® Technologies, Inc., a leading provider of application modernization software solutions. Over the last six years, the two companies have collaborated together on several large-scale application modernization projects at multi-national, Japan-based corporations. This newly expanded relationship will now provide global resources to better meet the growing demand to transform legacy solutions through application modernization projects. As a result, Hitachi Consulting’s Outsourced Product Development Practice will be expanding its development team based in Guangzhou, China to 20 resources to accommodate Nexaweb’s global reach.
“Legacy applications not only cost more to maintain, but they limit an organization’s ability to evolve and create new web-based business opportunities,” said Allen Deary, Senior Vice President at Hitachi Consulting. “Since we’ve been working closely with Nexaweb to support product development efforts regionally, Hitachi Consulting is uniquely equipped with a high level of specific knowledge around its application modernization solutions. We are pleased to expand our relationship with Nexaweb to position us to address this high priority need among clients worldwide.”
As a leader in client/server and legacy application modernization, Nexaweb has helped
more than 200 customers successfully modernize more than 450 applications. The company has refined a repeatable methodology for transforming applications from expensive-to-maintain legacy architectures with limited accessibility into highly accessible web applications running on lower-cost cloud platforms. From transformation strategy, code capture and transformation all the way through deployment, Nexaweb provides fixed-price, fixed time applications to enable new business models that fuel expansion and efficiency for customers.
“We are very excited about expanding this relationship to help organizations put their legacy systems on the fast track to the cloud,” said Christian Heidelberger, Chief Executive Officer of Nexaweb. “Combining Hitachi Consulting’s expertise in building and sustaining the highest standards of product development, software architecture leadership and global delivery capabilities with Nexaweb’s proven application modernization software will help our clients create competitive advantage, cut costs and increase revenue.”
Through its Outsourced Product Development Practice, Hitachi Consulting assists corporations worldwide develop software products or platforms to help them meet the needs of their customers, improve customer satisfaction, and help generate increased revenues. The company operates Global Development Centers in India (Bangalore, Pune and Hyderabad), China (Guangzhou) and the United States (North Dakota) to provide key resources to design, build, and support innovative technology solutions.
