Baker & O'Brien, Inc. and FACTS Global Energy Announce Strategic Alliance

Baker & O'Brien, Inc. (Baker & O'Brien) and FACTS Global Energy (FGE) announced today that they have formed a strategic alliance to provide consulting services to the energy and chemical industries. While the two firms will continue to operate as independent entities, they will be able to offer clients a wider and more complete range of services by combining their unique skills and consulting experience as required.

Thomas Anderson, President of Baker & O'Brien, said, "We are delighted to form an alliance with a company of such renowned market experience and caliber as FACTS Global Energy. The combination of FGE's strategic expertise, especially their knowledge of East of Suez markets, and Baker & O'Brien's processing and commercial expertise will help us to continue to offer the highest quality client services in natural gas, midstream, downstream and chemicals businesses."

FGE founder and Chairman Dr. Fereidun Fesharaki said, "The combination of Baker & O'Brien's technical and process skills to FGE's economic and strategic expertise will provide a more comprehensive service to a broader audience. We are delighted to join together with an esteemed firm such as Baker & O'Brien to bring even greater impact to our client base."

Baker & O'Brien is an independent professional consulting firm specializing in technology, economics, and management practice for the international oil, gas, chemical, and related industries. With offices in Dallas, Houston, and London, the firm focuses primarily on the downstream industry and assists clients with strategic studies, mergers and acquisitions, and technology evaluations. The firm also provides expert services to support insurance claims and a wide range of commercial disputes in the energy industry. Baker & O'Brien's consultants average 30 years of industry experience. Most have degrees in chemical or mechanical engineering and many have advanced degrees in business or technical fields.

FGE was incorporated as Fesharaki Associates Consulting & Technical Services (FACTS) in 1983 by Dr. Fereidun Fesharaki. The company was the first consulting firm to specialize in the oil and gas markets East of Suez and remains one of the very few firms to focus expertise on the Asia Pacific market. With the acquisition of Energy Market Consultants (EMC) in 2006, the FGE group is unique in the oil and gas consultant market, with focused expertise on the Asia Pacific, Middle Eastern, North American, European and former Soviet Union markets. FGE combines its technical tools, economic analysis, computer simulation, and engineering considerations with qualitative analysis of market behavior and political realities. In addition, its extensive industry contacts and convening power through flagship conferences and briefings further support its client base.
