Hitachi Consulting UK today announced the promotion of Sarah Edwards to Vice President of the Oracle Practice for the company’s UK-based operations. With more than 15 years Oracle experience, having previously managed Edenbrook’s Oracle practice, Sarah will be responsible for spearheading Hitachi Consulting UK’s dedicated Oracle business unit and further build on the increased market momentum gained over the last few months.
Sarah will be instrumental in leveraging the Sierra Atlantic acquisition agreement announced in January 2011, which will bring expanded capabilities to Hitachi Consulting’s Oracle business, including stronger alignment with US capabilities and a greater global offshore footprint in India and China.
Phil Parr, President and Chief Executive Officer, Hitachi Consulting, commented, “As a strategic partner and a cornerstone of our business, we are committed to further enhancing our Oracle credentials and visibility across all vertical markets and lines of business. We have seen great traction with Oracle recently with significant new customer wins. Sarah’s long standing personal contribution to the industry makes her the ideal choice for leading the UK’s Oracle business and building out the dedicated team of individuals who demonstrate a strong team spirit”.
“I am delighted to be leading the Oracle Practice and appreciate the recognition and support by Hitachi Consulting UK,” said Sarah Edwards, VP Oracle Practice, Hitachi Consulting UK. “The company’s Oracle business unit is of paramount importance to us as a business, and I’m eager to build on the current momentum and establish further strategic business endeavours that see us grow the bottom line and align more closely with Oracle.”
