Alan Walker has been appointed to the position of Vice President and Head of Financial Services for Capgemini Consulting UK, part of the Capgemini Group, one of the world’s foremost providers of consulting, technology and outsourcing services.
He leads a team of financial services consultants whose mission is to help banks, insurance companies and other financial sector organisations transform their core operations and their sales and marketing, HR, procurement, finance and technology. A particular area of focus is helping financial services companies achieve digital transformation.
He was previously Head of Financial Services for Hitachi Consulting UK, where he was one of the VPs brought in to launch the business in 2006. Prior to this he was Head of Insurance for Unisys UK (2003-2006) and an Insurance Consulting Partner / VP with Ernst & Young / Capgemini Ernst & Young (1998-2003).
With over 20 years’ experience in the provision of business and technology consulting services to top tier financial services companies in the United Kingdom and the United States, Alan’s work has encompassed both revenue enhancement and operations improvement. He has concentrated particularly on such areas as distribution strategy, operational excellence, business process outsourcing, programme management, performance management and extracting value from technology.
He is well known as a thought leader and public speaker on financial services issues at national and international conferences in the UK, the US and the Middle East.
