Touchstone Consulting Group Wins Federal Cloud Computing Re-Compete Contract

SRA’s Touchstone Consulting Group, a subsidiary of SRA International (NYSE: SRX), today announced that it has won a $5.3 million re-compete contract from the General Services Administration to provide program management support to the Federal Cloud Computing Initiative (FCCI).

The FCCI contract places Touchstone at the heart of the federal government’s push toward cloud computing and adoption of emerging technology.

“The team we have in place, led by SRA Principal Michael Lee, understands that the Federal Cloud Computing Initiative is about answering the government's need for cost-effective computing -- and that it also can solve some classic IT implementation challenges like lengthy procurement cycles, and the redundant certification/accreditation of programs and infrastructure,” said Emily Crespin, SRA vice president and director of Touchstone Consulting. “We're tackling these larger issues by creating programs that will streamline these currently lengthy and resource-intensive processes.”

Under the contract, Touchstone will assist in finding ways to improve the government’s desire for transparency by creating Web portals for sharing information related to the program.

The FCCI was established to support the federal migration toward a cloud-based services environment. The FCCI is actively pursuing its goal of achieving an optimized, cost-effective, government-wide information technology infrastructure that supports agency missions, while providing reliability and security in service delivery.

Touchstone also supports the FCCI's governance structure, which includes the Cloud Computing Executive Steering Committee, Cloud Computing Advisory Council, Security Working Group, Standards Working Group, and Communications Working Group. Touchstone provides subject matter expertise for each of these bodies as well as the overall program.
