For the second year in a row, IMG Consulting, the world's premier sports consulting practice, earned top honors at the 3rd Annual Sports Business Awards hosted by SportsBusiness Journal (SBJ) last week in New York City. The group again took home the top prize in the Best in Corporate Consulting, Marketing & Client Services category.
"The talented team at IMG Consulting continues to lead the industry in developing valuable solutions for our clients in every corner of the globe," said George F. Pyne, President of IMG Sports & Entertainment, who accepted the award. "We appreciate this back-to-back recognition from our colleagues and from SportsBusiness Journal."
In 2009, IMG Consulting retained its number one position in a highly competitive arena by increasing its sustainable, profitable business across the world with both new and existing clients. The growing division of IMG added more blue chip clients in 2009 than in any of the last 5 years, which helped lead to the recognition at the SportsBusiness Journal ceremony again this year.
"Our global team of consultants have worked with passion, commitment, and dedication to help our clients make smart marketing decisions that drive business results as well as develop strategies and concepts to help us win major new accounts," said David Abrutyn, Managing Director, Senior Vice President and Head of IMG Global Consulting. "We're honored that the industry recognizes the quality of our work and established us as the premiere global sponsorship marketing agency."
