Technology and Storage Consulting Provider Varrow Makes Top 5 in Triad Growth Awards

Varrow, Inc., an IT solutions consulting group focused on providing Virtualization, Storage and Disaster Recovery solutions for mid-size to enterprise businesses, has been named one of The Business Journal's 2009 Fast 50 Award winners for their growth.

An awards ceremony was held Thursday, September 24th, 2009 at the Benton Convention Center in downtown Winston-Salem. To be eligible for the Fast 50, a company must be based in the Triad, be privately-held, have earned $2 million in revenue in 2008, and have been in business for three full fiscal years. Accounting firm and Fast 50 sponsor, Smith Leonard, ranked the companies based on a combination of dollar and percentage growth. The Fast 50, collectively, employ more than 15,000 people and make up more than $2.4 billion in revenues for 2008.

Varrow ranked 5th this year. Varrow was one of only six technology firms, as well as the only focused datacenter IT and storage consulting firm, recognized in the Fast 50. When Dan Weiss, CEO and co-founder, was asked what opportunities he saw for growth in the year ahead, he stated, "Customers will continue to reduce inefficient storage and IT infrastructure costs while also implementing cost-effective storage and disaster recovery solutions."

"We are honored to be recognized by the Business Journal as one of the fastest growing companies in the Triad," states Jeremiah Cook, Chief Technology Officer and co-founder.

Varrow was founded in 2004 as a consulting services company. Varrow sells, implements, and supports advanced technologies from EMC, VMWare, Cisco, Citrix and Microsoft. Varrow supports customers in NC, SC, TN and VA. Varrow's corporate headquarters is located in Greensboro, NC with regional offices located in Raleigh, NC, Charlotte, NC, and Columbia, SC.
