Customer care and billing services provider Convergys has been awarded a three-year $72m contract renewal from an unnamed telecoms company to provide its Smart BSS solutions portfolio.
Under the contract, Convergys will continue to provide data processing, application support, and development for billing applications, customized and processed at one of its data centers.
Bob Lento, president of Information Management at Convergys said: "This longstanding client recognizes that Convergys has the ability to meet and exceed its expectations based on our knowledge of its business and core applications. The contract renewal is a demonstration of the service experience, expertise, and advanced technology Convergys provides to this industry-leading client."
For its most recent quarter, the company reported a net loss of $61m compared to a net income of $40.5m in the year-ago quarter, on revenue down 1% at $682.7m.
