The Society of Consulting Psychology recently announced the recipients of two of its highest honors. Sponsored by RHR International Company, a world leader in executive and organizational development, the awards were presented at the annual American Psychological Association convention.
The "RHR International Award for Excellence in Consultation for 2009" was presented to Vicki V. Vandaveer, Ph.D. This award is given to an individual with a distinguished career in the practice of consulting psychology. It honors a founding member of RHR International, Perry L. Rohrer, who epitomized the standards of excellence that RHR and the Society seek to perpetuate.

Her more than twenty-five years' experience includes thirteen years in private industry - eight years with Shell and five years with Southwestern Bell immediately following AT&T divestiture - and fourteen years in national and international consulting across industries. In 1993, Vicki became CEO of the Vandaveer Group, Inc., where she continues to consult in the areas of personal executive development, leadership team development, executive assessment, organizational assessment and consultation, and the merging/re-shaping of corporate culture.
In addition to her consulting, she has been an active member and leader in the
American Psychological Association (APA), the Society for Industrial/Organizational Psychology (SIOP), and the Society of Consulting Psychology (SCP), serving on many key boards and committees. She has been an Adjunct Professor at both Rice University and the University of Houston from 1989 to present, and she has participated in over 112 symposia, workshops and/or invited addresses since 1983. She earned her doctorate in Industrial/Organizational Psychology at the University of Houston.

"Dr. Vandaveer is well known to the consultants of RHR International and we consider her a true friend of the firm.
