Sparxent Completes Acquisition of Arbyte Group

Sparxent, an IT and business solution provider focused on the middle market, announced it has completed its acquisition of Arbyte Group, an IT service provider based in Moscow. Sparxent also announced that Arbyte has acquired RIkkon, a Moscow-based IT management consulting firm. The combination of these companies further expands Sparxent's technology expertise and geographic presence throughout the Russian Federation. Financial terms of the transactions were not disclosed.

"The combined resources of Arbyte and RIkkon expands our eastern European footprint, broadens our expertise in professional services and strengthens our portfolio of business applications," said Steve DeWindt, CEO and co-founder of Sparxent. "Arbyte has a strong record of growth and the addition of RIkkon further broadens its scope beyond hardware and software, positioning Sparxent as a market leader offering a complete source of IT for mid-sized companies."

Established in 1994, Arbyte Group focuses on delivering hardware and IT consulting services for mid-sized companies in Russia. Arbyte has had an average annual growth of more than 30 percent over the last 3 years. The company has more than 100 partners reselling its products, including high-value server clusters, storage subsystems and high-end CAD workstations as well as a full range of IT services throughout the Russian Federation. Arbyte is a Microsoft Gold Partner, Symantec Silver Partner, Netaphor Value Added Distributor and LANDesk Value Added Distributor and Training Center. Additionally, it has distributor status with a number of global technology companies ranging from Cisco to Oracle to HP.

RIkkon was established in 1996 to offer a range of professional IT services, based on Microsoft Dynamics AX, that include business process analysis, financial and operational consulting, enterprise resource planning and customer relationship management. Arbyte and RIkkon together have approximately 150 employees and an annual turnover of approximately $40 million dollars.

"Through our relationship with Sparxent, we will offer our customers new capabilities which enable businesses to optimize their IT infrastructure," said Oleg Kukushkin, president of Arbyte. "Similarly, this acquisition gives us access to a larger market for our products and services within the Sparxent network."

With the acquisition complete, Arbyte will retain its identity and continue to execute its core business strategy. Becoming a Sparxent company will allow Arbyte to increase its financial reach, accelerate growth and tap into additional resources worldwide.

The acquisition of Arbyte and RIkkon follows the purchase of NetworkD Group in August 2008. With funding from vSpring Capital, a venture capital firm, Sparxent is focused on the marriage of consulting, solutions, integration, development and services into a single source for IT. The acquisition of local market leaders like NetworkD, Arbyte and RIkkon further facilitates Sparxent's transition into the single source for IT for medium-sized companies.
