Aon Consulting Worldwide, the global human capital consulting organization of Aon Corporation (NYSE: AOC), today announced that Elizebeth Varghese has joined the organization as senior vice president and U.S. leader for the Talent Solutions practice, which specializes in workforce selection, leadership development and talent management for broad-based and senior executive employees.
"We welcome Elizebeth to Aon Consulting," said Cindy Keaveney, executive vice president, Human Capital practice leader, with Aon Consulting. "She has significant experience in working with companies in all industries and geographies to maximize their investment in people and to drive business results. This is especially critical in today's environment, as several organizations are faced with the dilemma of increased productivity with fewer workers. Many now realize that mass layoffs come with the price of decreased production and increased litigation, worsening an already challenging situation. We work with companies to provide strategy, direction and solutions to some of the most complex organizational challenges, and Elizebeth will be instrumental in ensuring we continue to provide this type of world-class service."
Prior to joining Aon Consulting, Varghese led the North American Corporate Transformation group at Hewitt Associates, focusing on improving business results through people strategies. A principal at Hewitt, she also led global HR design and delivery work for the Talent and Organization Consulting practice. With Aon Consulting, Varghese will be responsible for the overall management and strategic direction of the Talent Solutions group.
Varghese grew up in India, and has worked with clients around the world. She has MBAs from Columbia Business School and the London Business School. She also has a master's degree from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences, India, and a bachelor's degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the Bombay College of Pharmacy.
Varghese joined Aon Consulting on April 27, and is based in New York City.
