Mesirow Financial Consulting, LLC (MFC) announced today a series of new additions to its management team, as well as several new promotions. Combined, these moves expand the firm's capabilities in a number of areas, including Operations and Performance Improvement and Technology Advisory Services, as well as further enhancing the firm's core restructuring capabilities.

Strategic hires for the quarter include:
Kenneth Claflin, Managing Director
Claflin joined MFC in January to grow the firm's Operations and Performance Improvements business. He specializes in providing pragmatic cost optimization, revenue enhancement and technology utilization services to healthy and distressed companies. His experience also includes advising a number of private equity and hedge funds on mergers and acquisitions with a specialization in operational due diligence. Prior to joining MFC, Claflin served as a principal at XRoads Solutions Group and was a partner with Deloitte Consulting's Consumer and Retail practice. Claflin works out of MFC's Boston office, as well as the firm's New York headquarters.
Liam Ferguson, Managing Director
Ferguson came to MFC in February to strengthen the firm's presence in the growth business of technology advisory consulting. He brings a wealth of business development and complex data analytics experience, primarily at the intersection of technology and law. Ferguson was most recently a principal at LECG, LLC, leading the Data Acquisition Management and Analysis practice. Prior, he was a director at Duff & Phelps Corporation and held senior management positions at FTI Consulting and Ernst & Young. Ferguson is based in Los Angeles.
Courtney Fletcher, Managing Director
Also appointed in February, Fletcher has a specialized focus on enhancing the firm's technology advisory consulting business. He has a track record of success through years of experience with data analytics and legal technology services, as well as business development. Fletcher was last a principal at the D.C. office of LECG, LLC, where he co-led the Data Acquisition Management and Analysis practice group and counseled clients on large-scale investigative matters. He previously served as a senior consultant at FTI Consulting and held programmer analyst positions at Perot Systems, Inc. and APS Healthcare, Inc. He is based in Washington, D.C.

Edna Lee, Managing Director
Lee joined MFC in 2002 and has extensive experience providing financial advisory services to businesses in out-of-court restructurings and in Chapter 11 proceedings. She has advised various parties including debtors, unsecured creditors, lenders and other stakeholders on financial and operational restructurings, business valuation, litigation matters and other financial challenges faced by underperforming businesses. During her tenure at MFC, Lee has advised companies and creditors committees in cases including Atlas Air Worldwide Holdings, GE Power Systems, UAL Corporation, and Quebecor World (USA) Inc., among others. Previously, she was a senior vice president. Lee works out of the firm's New York headquarters.
Timothy Martin, Managing Director
Martin has more than ten years of experience providing financial advisory consulting and litigation and investigative services, including advising companies, bondholders, trustees, lenders and unsecured creditors on financial and strategic restructuring matters both in and out of formal bankruptcy proceedings. He has acted as financial advisor in cases such as Kmart, Friedman's Jewelers, Levitt and Sons and DB Companies. Martin has also played a significant role in several high profile forensic investigations and has acted as a consulting expert on multiple large litigation matters. Most recently, Martin held the role of senior vice president. He is based in the firm's Boston office.
