Former BMC, IBM and Accenture Executives Add Industry Expertise to Zenoss Board and Advisory Panel

Zenoss Inc., the leading commercial open source network and systems management provider, today announced the addition of Sean McDermott to its Board of Directors and the additions of Albert (“Ab”) Krall and Bill Kennedy to its Advisory Panel. These seasoned professionals will bolster Zenoss’ mentoring team, given the new members’ combined years of experience delivering mission critical IT solutions to large enterprises. This news comes on the heels of Zenoss’ rising usage among Global 2000 companies and its strong track record of winning business over the “Big Four” systems management vendors (IBM, BMC, HP and CA).

• Sean McDermott, the newest addition to the Zenoss Board, has spent over 20 years helping hundreds of global clients better manage their IT environments with proven solutions and strategic consulting. Mr. McDermott was Founder and CEO of RealOps, Inc., which he successfully sold to BMC in 2007. Currently, he is Chairman and CEO of Windward IT Solutions.
• Bill Kennedy, a new addition to Zenoss’ Advisory Panel, is former Director of Engineering for security products for IBM Tivoli. A seasoned technology entrepreneur and an acknowledged authority in the fields of identity management and enterprise software development, Mr. Kennedy co-founded Waveset Technologies, which was acquired by Sun Microsystems in late 2003. Currently he is President of Beacon Professional Services, specializing in business planning, software engineering, and identity management.
• Albert (“Ab”) Krall comes to the Zenoss Advisory Panel with over 27 years of experience in IT and management consulting with Accenture. His global consulting experience involved directing multi-year programs in Japan and Australia, which were closely supported by offshore delivery centers in India, China and the Philippines. Mr. Krall’s experience was concentrated in the telecommunications industry, where he spent 20 years working with large, incumbent telcos and aggressive start-up ventures.
