Deloitte and Americans for UNFPA (United Nations Population Fund) to Co-host Corporate Women's Briefing: Navigating Culture in the Global Marketplace

Deloitte LLP and Americans for UNFPA will co-host women executives to explore and discuss culture in the global marketplace. The event promotes cross disciplinary dialogue while providing opportunities for women to engage in global issues.

The panel discussion will be led by:

* Dr. Mari Simonen, Deputy Executive Director for External Relations, United Nations Affairs and Management at the United Nations Population Fund, UNFPA
* Ms. Barbara Adachi, National Managing Principal, Initiative for the Retention and Advancement of Women, Deloitte LLP Principal, Deloitte Consulting LLP

The event provides an opportunity for cross disciplinary dialogue between the for profit and not-for-profit sectors and will offer proven tactics to effectively communicate and manage across cultures. Additional speakers include Anika Rahman, President, Americans for UNFPA and Dr. Azza Karam, Senior Culture Advisor, UNFPA.

Confirmed participants from the tri-state area include women from Deloitte, GE, Time Warner, Essence, NBC, Standard & Poor's, Davis Polk & Wardwell, White & Case and many more.

Americans for UNFPA joined forces with Deloitte to provide an opportunity for women leaders to build partnerships, enhance leadership skills and increase effectiveness when working with clients and partners. Through education and public awareness, Americans for UNFPA works to increase U.S. engagement in global issues.
