Management consulting services provider Accenture has won a five-year IT outsourcing contract from television and internet content developer Scripps Networks Interactive to provide application development and maintenance, and infrastructure management services. Datamonitor estimates the contract to be worth approximately $45m.
Mark Hale, chief technology officer at Scripps Networks Interactive, said: "Having recently spun off from The E W Scripps Company, we needed to quickly develop service delivery capabilities and competencies to operate as a stand-alone company. We decided to outsource a significant portion of these functions to Accenture based on their extensive industry experience and capabilities in IT services."
